Creating balanced bodies and minds one class at a time

Connecting minds and bodies, creating friendships and having fun

A bit about Within Studio and my passion for all things yoga

Yoga for me started purely as exercise (I know as a true Yogi I am never supposed to admit this)

I was a new mom I wanted to get fit, move my body, build strength and ease the relentless tiredness. The physical movement felt great, but slowing my busy mind was a challenge. Sitting still, lying back in Savasana and simply being present did not come naturally to me.

But the more I practiced, the more I began to notice the change. As I became stronger and fitter I realised my mind became organised and a calmness that I hadn’t expected and didn’t know I was capable of.

I have practiced Yoga for 15 years and I qualified as a Yoga teacher this year. I travelled from Aldridge to London every weekend through the winter because I found a teacher training that that fit with my passion.

And now I want to pass my passion onto you.

I adore Yoga and my friends and family are used to me telling them that yoga is the answer to everything! Whilst that may not necessarily be true I honestly believe that yoga is a wonderful foundation to support your life.

Whether you don’t currently exercise at all, or you’re a keen runner (like me) do Hyrox or any other sport yoga has something to offer. It can help you move with greater ease, build strength, improve body awareness and create moments of calm whatever your starting point.

I created Within Studio as a place that everyone feels welcome. A place where you come as you are, practice at your own level and feel comfortable being yourself. Its a place where you can meet new people, make friends and have a lovely time without feeling that you have to be anything but your true self. For me a yoga class is more than the practice, its the group doing it together and that chats that we have afterwards, the human connection we all need.

My one goal for every class is simple: that you leave feeling better than you came.
